The August 1st Nanchang Uprising Museum, also known as The Former Headquarters of the Nanchang Uprising, lies at the site of the August 1st Nanchang Uprising Headquarters (the former Jiangxi Great Hotel). The museum is a Chinese revolutionary memorial in memory of the Nanchang Uprising led by the Chinese Communist Party on August 1, 1927.
The memorial was founded in 1956 and opened to the public in 1959. In 2007, in memory of the 80th anniversary of the Nanchang Uprising, this museum was rebuilt on a large scale.
The museum is conveniently located in the city centre on ZhongShan Lu
